Easy & Healthy Air Fryer Carrot Fries

These air fryer carrot fries are easy to make at home and much healthier than restaurant fries. They're a finger food you can feel good about enjoying!

Ingredients

For the Fries

  • 12 large carrots
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Generous salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

For the Maple Mustard Tahini Dipping Sauce

  • 0.25 c tahini
  • 1 tbsp coarse-grained mustard
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • Few pinches sea salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the tops off the carrots and peel them.
  2. Cut each carrot in half or thirds across its width to create even pieces 3-4 inches long.
  3. Cut each carrot piece vertically in half or in quarters to create carrot sticks of approximately equal thickness.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, toss together the carrot sticks, olive oil, salt, and pepper until the carrots are evenly but lightly coated.
  5. Air-fry in a basket-style air fryer at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Toss after five minutes and then every few minutes after that. Cook until the carrots are tender but not soft.
  6. While the carrots cook, mix together the dipping sauce ingredients, adding a dash of water as needed to create a smooth texture.
  7. When the carrots are done, serve immediately with the dipping sauce. If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
